Privacy Policy
Last Updated: March 2025
At belixandora, we're committed to protecting your privacy while delivering powerful financial analysis tools. This policy explains how we handle your personal information when you use our software and services.
We know privacy matters. You're trusting us with sensitive financial data, and we take that seriously. This document walks through what we collect, why we need it, and how we keep it secure.
Information We Collect
When you use belixandora's financial analysis software, we collect different types of information to make the tools work properly and improve your experience.
Account Information
When you create an account, we need some basics:
- Your name and email address for account access
- Company details if you're using a business account
- Payment information processed through secure third-party providers
- Communication preferences and notification settings
Financial Data You Input
Our software analyses the financial information you choose to upload or enter. This might include transaction data, budget figures, forecasts, or other financial metrics relevant to your analysis needs. You control what data you input into the system.
Usage Information
We track how you interact with our platform to identify bugs, understand which features matter most, and improve the software:
- Pages and features you access within the application
- Time spent using different analysis tools
- Error messages and technical issues you encounter
- Device type, browser, and operating system details
- IP address and general location data
Important: We never sell your financial data to third parties. Your analysis data stays yours, and we only use it to provide the services you've requested.
How We Use Your Information
Here's what we actually do with the information we collect. No vague promises, just practical uses.
Service Delivery
The main purpose is straightforward: we need your data to run the financial analysis tools you're using. This includes processing your financial inputs, generating reports, storing your saved analyses, and syncing data across your devices.
Product Improvement
We analyse usage patterns to identify where users struggle or which features could work better. Sometimes we run A/B tests with different interface designs to see what's clearer. This helps us build software that's actually useful rather than just technically impressive.
Communication
We'll send you service-related emails like:
- Account verification and password reset messages
- Important updates about features you're actively using
- Security alerts if we detect unusual account activity
- Billing notifications and subscription reminders
Marketing emails are optional. You can unsubscribe anytime, and we actually honour that immediately rather than waiting weeks.
Legal Requirements
Occasionally we're legally required to retain or disclose information. This happens rarely, but when law enforcement presents a valid warrant or court order, we comply with Australian legal requirements.
Data Storage and Security
Your financial data deserves proper protection. Here's how we handle it.
Where We Store Data
We use secure cloud servers located in Australia, which means your data is subject to Australian privacy laws under the Privacy Act 1988. Our hosting infrastructure includes redundant backups across multiple data centres to prevent data loss.
Security Measures
We implement several layers of protection:
- 256-bit AES encryption for data at rest
- TLS 1.3 encryption for all data transmission
- Multi-factor authentication options for account access
- Regular security audits by independent third parties
- Automated monitoring for suspicious access patterns
- Strict employee access controls with audit logging
Despite our best efforts, no system is completely impenetrable. If we experience a data breach affecting your information, we'll notify you within 72 hours and explain exactly what happened and what we're doing about it.
Data Retention
We keep your data for as long as your account remains active. After account closure, we retain basic information for seven years to comply with Australian financial record requirements, then permanently delete it. Analysis data you've created is deleted within 90 days of account closure unless you request earlier deletion.
Your Rights Under Australian Privacy Law
The Privacy Act 1988 and Australian Privacy Principles give you specific rights regarding your personal information. Here's what you can actually do.
Access Your Data
You can request a complete copy of all personal information we hold about you. We'll provide this within 30 days in a commonly readable format like CSV or PDF. There's no charge for your first request each year.
Correct Inaccurate Information
Found something wrong in your account details? You can update most information directly through your account settings. For data you can't change yourself, contact us and we'll make corrections within 14 days.
Request Deletion
You can ask us to delete your personal information. We'll comply unless we're legally required to retain certain records. The deletion process takes up to 30 days, and we'll confirm once it's complete.
Withdraw Consent
If you've opted into marketing communications or optional data collection, you can withdraw consent anytime. This won't affect data processing necessary for the core service you're using.
File a Complaint
If you believe we've mishandled your personal information, contact our privacy officer first. If you're unsatisfied with our response, you can lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

Third-Party Services
We work with a limited number of trusted service providers. Here's who has access to what.
Payment Processing
We use Stripe for payment processing. Your credit card details never touch our servers. Stripe is PCI DSS compliant and handles all payment information securely. We only receive confirmation that payment succeeded or failed.
Cloud Infrastructure
Our hosting provider maintains the physical servers where your data lives. They can't access the actual content of your data because it's encrypted, but they do handle the infrastructure security and uptime.
Analytics Tools
We use privacy-focused analytics to understand how people use our software. These tools collect anonymized usage data but can't identify individual users or access your financial information.
Email Services
Transactional emails are sent through a third-party email service. They can see email addresses and message content but can't access your account or financial data.
All third-party providers sign data processing agreements and must comply with Australian privacy standards when handling data of Australian users.
Cookies and Tracking
Like most websites, we use cookies. Here's what they do and how to control them.
Essential Cookies
These keep you logged in and remember your preferences. Without them, the software wouldn't function properly. These cookies don't track you across other websites.
Analytics Cookies
These help us understand which features get used and where people encounter problems. You can disable these through your browser settings without affecting core functionality.
Managing Cookies
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Check your browser's help section for instructions. Be aware that blocking essential cookies will prevent you from staying logged in.
International Data Transfers
We primarily store data in Australia, but some situations require international data transfer.
When you access our service from outside Australia, your data travels through international networks to reach our Australian servers. Some support team members work remotely from other countries and may access your account to resolve technical issues you've reported.
Any international transfers comply with Australian Privacy Principle 8, which requires adequate protection for personal information sent overseas. We use standard contractual clauses and only work with providers in jurisdictions with comparable privacy protections.
Children's Privacy
Our financial analysis software isn't designed for children. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you're a parent and believe your child has created an account, contact us and we'll delete it immediately.
Changes to This Policy
We update this policy occasionally as our practices evolve or laws change. When we make significant changes, we'll email you at least 30 days before they take effect. Minor clarifications might happen without notification, but we'll always update the "Last Updated" date at the top.
Continued use of our services after policy changes means you accept the updated terms. If you disagree with changes, you can close your account before they take effect.
Business Transfers
If belixandora is acquired by another company or merges with another business, your information may transfer to the new entity. We'll notify you before this happens and explain any changes to how your data will be handled. You'll have the option to delete your account before the transfer if you prefer.
